Carrie Buxton has been involved with horses since she got her first pony at 8 years old. She rode that pony in local cross country events and participated in 4-H before moving on to riding Quarter Horses. While competing on her Quarter Horses she attended the Youth World Show and the Congress multiple times in the Hunter Over Fences divisions as well as Reining. While in high school she interned at a local large animal vet clinic helping with mobile calls, surgery, and intensive care patients.

​After high school she obtained her insurance license but continued instead into the hunter/jumper world since her father had the insurance well in hand and the horses are her first passion. This gave her the opportunity to visit Europe, import horses for sale, compete intensely, bred foals, and obtain her USEF “R” card in the hunters, jumpers, and equitation. During that time she earned a USEF Horse of the Year, USEF Owner of the Year, USEF Breeder of the Year, and USHJA Year End Zone Titles in the Hunter Breeding. As well as numerous USEF, USHJA, and local Association year-end awards, show circuit champions, and division championships in many different hunter & jumper divisions. Since taking over the insurance from her father she has concentrate on the insurance business and providing the best possible service and coverage’s possible to her clients.
